This is the story of Dev and Tara, who meet on a plane to Paris with the same goal on their mind: to prevent their exes from getting married. With bankruptcy and failure in his self-structured business, Dev is nothing but a mess. Tara, on the other hand, had a serious relationship with her ex-boss Matt, who is about to marry Dev's love, Anagha. The two protagonists are poles apart, but stranded at Heathrow Airport after the Eyjafjallajรถkull volcanic eruption. They wait, reproach the causes of their respective breakups, and hope that their plan will work. As Dev and Tara spend endless hours together and learn about one another's backgrounds and pasts, they become so infatuated with one another that they don't even notice their exes are no longer an issue for them. This is how the story unfolds, will they both now drop the idea of ending their exes' marriage?
Will they be able to reach Paris?
That's all there is to this story.
There is a good combination of simple language and good narration. Also, all the characters were well chosen. The title and cover page of the book was so appealing that I could not resist reading it. But... It's probably because I had high expectations of the book that I got slightly disappointed. It's a Bollywood masala novel, which means it's only about drama and no logic at all.
Probably because I'm not a Bollywood romance fan, I didn't enjoy this book as much as I expected, but people who like Bollywood masala will love it. You should give it a try if you're one.
My Rating:
3/5
