As the title suggests, the book revolves around the hunt for the enigmatic Agha Netra, a mysterious artefact lost over a century ago. The hunt has been started by both box protectors and individuals consumed by greed. The story begins in the 4th Century BCE when the Magadha King entrusts a group of nine chosen men with safeguarding an artefact that holds the power to alter the future.
In the present, we meet Alisha, a college teacher with prosopagnosia (an inability to recognize faces). Her life takes a dramatic turn when she starts experiencing peculiar dreams where she foresees the deaths of unknown individuals. Unable to recognize the faces in her dreams due to her condition, she becomes determined to save these lives, ultimately leading her to find the "Agha Netra". Meanwhile, Rajat, a lawyer handling a case linked to ominous claims of "an evil eye", finds himself drawn into the same perilous hunt. Together, their paths converge in pursuit of answers and the secrets hidden within this fabled artefact.
At just 200 pages, this suspense thriller keeps the story concise and engaging, and Iโll refrain from delving into too many plot details to avoid spoiling the suspense. This book stands out for its lucid and straightforward language, along with a strong narrative style that ensures a fast-paced, gripping storyline. As you turn the last page, the suspense and thrills keep you enraptured until the end.
I was attracted to the book because of its intriguing title, and while it didnโt entirely meet the lofty expectations I had imagined, I wasnโt disappointed either. The story is engaging, and I thoroughly enjoyed completing the book just in two days.
Overall, the book offers a compelling tale that is worth exploring. The author has woven an entertaining story that will surely appeal to fans of mystery and thrillers. If youโre curious about the Agha Netra and its mysteries, this book is for you!
My Rating:
