Arun Kumar, the bestselling author came across a girl named Lalita, a prostitute, who has had a painful past. She has been betrayed by the people she loved the most, which made her lose hope in mankind. . When Arun and Lalita meet, there is something about her that makes him want to reach out to her and get to know more about her. And in this journey, he not only finds himself and what he felt was the missing piece, but also gives strength to her as well. Arun somehow manages to bring her to his hometown Pune and decides to admit her to a rehabilitation center for women. The book reflects well the reality of rehabilitation centers. Despite the book being woven around a very sensitive subject, the author has managed to evoke many emotions through the plot. The story is short but impactful, at times emotional, and conveys a good social message. The ending was completely unexpected and really touching. The narration was decent, fast-paced and all the characters did justice to their roles. Like all his previous books, the language is very simple and lucid. Beginners can also enjoy reading this book. I would recommend this to every reader.
