In the subsequent chapters, ACP Agni, accompanied by an inspector, embarks on a quest to uncover the motive behind the heinous acts and identify the key suspect. Leading the investigation are Agni and his astute partner, Arya. As Agni delves into the interrogation process, he becomes suspicious of two primary suspects: Rituja Bose, who shares a past with Mayank Kapoor, the very individual involved with Hiya despite her recent marriage to Manav and Neha Awasthi, whose engagement with Manav abruptly ended before his union with Hiya.
The plot unfolds enthralling throughout the narrative, constantly presenting fresh revelations and engaging twists. Each turn of the page promises discoveries, ensuring the reader remains thoroughly engrossed in the unravelling saga. Subsequently, the narrative takes a dramatic twist as the case veers into unforeseen territory: months following the tragic events, Hiya's driver, Lakhan, meets a similar fate, succumbing to a fatal attack. Additionally, her alleged boyfriend was dead, adding to the intrigue. As the puzzle deepens, the burning questions loom bigger than ever: Who is the orchestrator of these meticulously planned homicides? And what sinister motivations drive these acts of violence?
Honestly, the story unfolds with a solid and brisk pace. I found the author's writing style particularly appealing, demonstrating a mastery of language and a keen sense of scene placement that almost resembled a screenplay. Penning a suspense thriller is no small feat, demanding meticulous attention to detail to avoid plot loopholes. In this regard, the author delivers admirably. Yet, while the narrative builds tension effectively, I couldn't shake the feeling that the twists and turns lacked the punch they deserved. Despite the promising buildup, I found myself deducing the culprit within just a few chapters, which ultimately influenced my rating of four stars.
Despite that, the conclusion neatly ties up loose ends and aligns well with the story. However, I couldn't help but crave a more electrifying climax and a more substantial revelation of suspense. Nonetheless, thriller fans will find this book delivers an engaging read worth considering.
