Within the pages of this book, I encountered numerous chilling and unsettling moments that transcended time, unfolding both in the present narrative and through the pages of Verity's autobiography, to which we are granted access via select chapters, just like Lowen herself. This unique narrative approach added an exhilarating layer to the story.
My journey through this romantic thriller genre was a captivating experience, and I eagerly anticipate the prospect of more such enthralling tales from the talented Colleen Hoover in the future. This novel has left me hungry for more of the suspense, intrigue, and emotional depth that she skillfully wove into this gripping tale.
Right from the very first page, I found myself completely engrossed. This story possesses a level of creativity that's utterly enthralling, making it nearly impossible to tear my eyes away. It's a literary experience unlike any I've ever encountered, ensuring that each page held a delightful surprise, fueling my desire to keep delving deeper. As the truth within the narrative grew progressively darker and more convoluted, I had no choice but to cling to the story for dear life. This book utterly astounded me, firmly refusing to release its grip on my attention. I read and read, unable to break away, a reading marathon I've never embarked upon before. The narrative was peppered with countless jaw-dropping moments that left me in awe. The characters were masterfully portrayed, their vivid images dancing in my mind as I progressed through the story. The author's writing style was a revelation, adding an intense layer to this gripping tale. To put it plainly, this was one unforgettably intense read. The author's skilful storytelling left me in sheer admiration. And as for the ending, it couldn't have been more perfect, delivering a twist that left me saying, "Wow!"

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to fellow thriller enthusiasts who savour the sinister and the enigmatic, as it's a narrative that will undoubtedly leave you spellbound.
