"Murder in the Rain" is a compelling collection of crime thrillers centred around the adventures of Inspector K.P. Singh. The six stories are intricately woven with elements of Singh's personal life, showcasing his exceptional case-solving abilities. The book is written in accessible language, with excellent narration that makes for a fast-paced and engaging read.

The Honey Trap: Inspector K.P. Singh uncovers a plot to frame renowned lawyer Ratan Negi in a honey trap. Before Singh can delve deeper, Negi is murdered. Can Singh expose the criminals and resolve the issues in his marriage?
The Kolhapur Murders: When Inspector K.P. Singh arrives in Kolhapur for his cousin Rushali's wedding, he finds himself entangled in tragedy when Rushali's father-in-law is murdered. The following morning, Singh witnesses a senior police officer shooting an unarmed sugarcane farmer and faces pressure to cover it up. Are the crimes connected, and can Singh confront his superior to seek justice? Discover the answers in this gripping thriller.
I highly recommend this book to those new to the thriller genre, as it is an ideal introduction for novice readers looking to develop an interest in crime thrillers. Overall, it is an enjoyable read. However, I have rated it 3.5 stars because, as an avid reader, I found the culprits somewhat predictable. Despite this, it remains a good and entertaining read.
My Rating:
3.5/5
