The story revolves around Akshay and Saesha. Akshay becomes deeply captivated by Saesha, a mysterious girl he encounters during his semester exchange in Montreal while studying engineering at IIT Madras. These two months spent in Montreal leave an indelible mark on Akshay's heart, forming his most treasured memories.
Seven years later, during a business trip to Florence, Akshay undertakes a quest to reconnect with the elusive Saesha. As their paths intersect once more in the mesmerizing cities of Europe, Will Akshay be able to find Saesha? Does Saesha feel the same way about Akshay?
I will not delve much into the summary as the book is only 145 pages long. Instead, let's focus on other aspects. The book is written in a very accessible language, and the narration is skillful, making it a quick read. The writing style is essay-like, with rich descriptions of European culture and cities, giving you the sensation of physically being there. It is lacking because it focuses more on European scenery than the story. The characters are well-crafted, though not exceptional, and the character development could have been better. I recommend this book to new readers, but avid readers might skip it because it has some loopholes in the plot. Aside from novice readers, those who enjoy travel books and exploring European scenery should try this . It is the author's debut novel, and I really appreciate his efforts.
My Rating:
3/5
